ConTact C.A.R.E for Animals
ConTact C.A.R.E sessions for horses and companion animals can be arranged in their own familiar environment, at the owner’s residence, allowing them to remain calm and supported in a natural setting. For smaller animals who are comfortable travelling, sessions can also be held at the Oratia studio, providing a quiet and contained space.
Every animal is designed with its own instinctive self-defence mechanisms to protect itself from threats in its environment — predators and prey species are built differently, each shaped by nature for their own survival. When an animal is caught by surprise — a knock, a fall, running into something, or a hit from another animal or another human — the body instinctively flinches and can lock into a self-protection pattern.
ConTact C.A.R.E works with the effects of these surprise impact injuries, in support of a state of wellness — not to cure or diagnose any medical condition. The work is gentle and non-invasive, moving with the animal's own nature, comfort, and a pace that feels comfortable. There is no force or manipulation used during a session.
Stephanie is trained in equine, canine, and small animal ConTact C.A.R.E, with experience working with cats, dogs, and horses — including many rescued cats and dogs. She loves working with animals.
This work is not a veterinary treatment and is not a substitute for veterinary care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. If your animal is unwell, injured, or in pain, please see your vet first.
